Fertility Yoga – 4 week course

When you are trying to concieve it can be very stressful. As we all know stress can have many negative impacts on our body and can potentially affect our hormones, therefore making it more difficult to conceive. What a vicious cycle!

One of the things we can do to help this is yoga.  Yoga has many benefits in reducing your stress levels. All yoga classes will have this positive affect. Yoga can also help to improve blood flow around the body, therefore increasing blood flow to the reproductive organs. In some instances infertility can be due to reduce blood flow to the uterus.

In a Fertility yoga we can focus on this even more. Concentrating on the hips and abdominal areas, inceasing circulation and also reducing your stress levels with active relaxation and visualisations.

Our class is starting Monday 6pm 27 February.  Bookings required for this course

Detoxification

If your body is your temple, then are you living in a relic in need of a renovation, or a beautiful castle? Detoxification is such an important consideration for all of us, from those that tend to overindulge or are overweight, to those with low energy, digestive disturbances, headaches, hormonal imbalances, or poor immunity. Living in the Western world, we are constantly exposed to toxins present in the air, water and food, not to mention internally derived endotoxins which can all contribute to poor health. Following an Integrative Detoxification Program, you can enjoy the benefits of increased energy and vitality, improved digestion, enhanced nutrient absorption, and even weight loss. With spring on our doorstep, now is the perfect time to start a detox.

3 Easy Steps to a Cleaner Temple

As the aim of the Integrative Detoxification Program is to enhance and support the body’s natural detoxification mechanisms, we need to reduce the exposure and absorption of toxins and enhance their removal, thereby improving cellular function, vitality and restoring health.

    1. REMOVE – DISCARD THE OLD… Stage 1 of detox requires the removal of dysbiotic bacteria, parasites, and fungi that may have taken up residence in the gut. Ensuring optimal function of the gastrointestinal tract for adequate toxin elimination is paramount.
    2. RENEW – RENOVATE THE INSIDES… Now that you’ve removed the old it’s time to renew the gut flora, repair the gut lining and balance systemic pH. Re-inoculation of the bowel flora at this time is vital and probiotics play an integral role during detoxification.
    3. RELEASE – SEND TOXINS ON THEIR WAY… The final stage, biotransformation, is the conversion of toxic substances to their non-toxic metabolites for excretion via the liver and kidneys. There are a number of nutrients imperative to this process to support balanced all 3 Phases detoxification.

It’s Time to Turf Out Those Toxins!

Spring has sprung! With the warmer weather, the abundance of fresh fruit and vegetables, and the all-important pre-summer incentive, spring is the perfect time of year to detox. So while you are busy spring cleaning your home, perhaps think about doing some internal spring cleaning as well.

We can help you feel on top of the world, with renewed health and vitality! Contact us now and book in for an Detox Consultation.

Your Drink Bottle Might be Poisoning you!

Every person on earth harbours measurable levels of environmental pollutants including chemicals linked to various health problems such as cancers, immunological problems, reduced IQ, depression and anxiety, cardiovascular disease, diabetes, weight gain, fatigue, low fertility and endometriosis [1-4].

One such chemical, Bisphenol-A, has been estimated to be present at detectable levels in 93% of people and has recently been implicated in two of the most prevalent diseases, cardiovascular disease and diabetes [5-6].
Exposure to Bisphenol-A occurs principally through food, namely from plastic food containers, drink bottles, baby bottles, take-away coffee cups, tableware and containers with internal coatings such as soft drink cans [7]. Limiting exposure to Bisphenol-A by using Bisphenol-A free drink bottles, switching to glass and avoiding soft drink and plastic food packaging is a logical step in reducing any potential health risk. Avoid heating food or liquid in plastic containers as heat increases the passage of Bisphenol-A from the plastic into food  contents.

Gracefully Fit & Healthy supplies BPA Free water bottles (for adults and babies) and Baby Soothers.

The benefits of Meditation

How would you feel being buried alive for a day? Slightly stressed? A yogi once sat buried underground cross-legged for 62 hours, he was being monitored medically and showed no signs of distress. You too can use meditation to reduce stress and improve your wellbeing.

You don’t need to be a yogi to practice meditation, just a few basic exercises and as little as 15 minutes of your day. This ancient mind-body practice is finding its place in modern medicine.

Studies of meditation have suggested benefit in the treatment of tension headaches, psoriasis, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, stopping smoking, alcohol abuse, heart disease, longevity and cognitive function in the elderly, mental health disorders, excessive worry, chronic pain, depression, anxiety, fibromyalgia, cancer diagnoses, obesity and eating disorders.

Meditation works by changing the way your brain functions, activating brain areas involved in feelings of joy, happiness and wellbeing while reducing neurological processes that lead to pain, anxiety, stress and worry. If you want to change your brain, give this simple meditation technique a try.
