Teachers

Kathy Grace
In 1992 Kathy was introduced to yoga while studying to be a Naturopath by her flat mate and immediately loved it.  Having a background in dance it struck a cord deep within.  During this first class Kathy had the thought that she will be teaching yoga one day. Many years later this goal was achieved.

During the years of personal practice Kathy tried many different styles of yoga including Iyengar and Ashtanga.  Mardi Bell from Yoga Ways in Terrigal was a major inspiration and influence and her teaching style still inspires Kathy’s classes.

In 2003 Kathy completed her training with the IYTA and begun teaching, currently a member of the Yoga Teachers Association of Australia. Since this time Kathy has continued her studies with many different teacher trainings, with a major focus on Prenatal Yoga and is also completing studies as a Doula (Birth Support Person).

Kathy is the owner of Conception Health and her desire when creating this centre was to offer many different types of classes for many different people. This is why the timetable is varied and will continue to grow.

Rachael believes in letting the children guide the yoga class, collaboratively and learning together. “We’re not doing the teaching – we’re there learning alongside them.”
Rachael enjoys sharing her understanding of yoga with others, and looks forward to learning from all her students.
